I grew up in York, Pennsylvania with my parents and two sisters. As a young girl I found a love for art thanks to my teachers throughout school. Towards the end of high school I decided that going to school for art was the right path for me, so I packed up my things and headed to Philadelphia to study at the Tyler School of Art at Temple University.
I always knew I wanted to be an artist and educator. During my time at Temple University I studied abroad in Rome and it completely changed my perspective on art and life. In 2015 I graduated with a Bachelors of Fine Arts and my teaching certification and began my career as a public school art teacher. Almost a decade later I still love what I do! Throughout my teaching career I have worked in both elementary and high schools helping to spread the joy of creativity to my students.
Over the course of my education career I found time to get my Masters in Arts Administration from Kutztown University and begin designing art pieces for friends and family. These pieces were the beginnings and inspiration to start Freckled Press. I love to see the joy that art can bring to others. My core values as an artist are joy, creativity, and connection and I strive to share that through my work.
